Professor Francesco D’Aiuto is a specialist periodontist with extensive experience in the non-surgical and surgical management of periodontal disease. His clinical expertise includes advanced mucogingival surgery, periodontal regeneration, piezo-assisted surgery, dental implant therapy, and guided bone regeneration.
He qualified in dentistry with honours in 1997 and completed advanced postgraduate training in periodontology in Italy and the UK, including a clinical PhD and a Master’s degree in Clinical Dentistry (MClinDent) in Periodontology at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute.
Professor D’Aiuto previously held senior academic and clinical appointments at University College London & Hospitals, including Professor of Periodontology and Honorary Consultant in Periodontology. Alongside clinical practice, he has contributed extensively to postgraduate education and research in periodontal medicine and oral–systemic health.
He has authored more than 200 peer-reviewed publications, received international research awards, and is a recognised speaker in advanced periodontology.
